Nikki Hawkins

Nikki graduated from DeLarue Dance Centre in 2005, completing 14 years of dance. This is her 14th year on staff.

Nikki is a 2005 graduate of Lafayette High School where she was an honors student. She attended the Lafayette Parish High School Arts Academy dance program for four years.

Nikki studied at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, with an emphasis in Dance. She participated in UL's productions of State of La Danse and An Evening of Dance as both a dancer and choreographer. She also attended the American College Dance Festival in 2007, 2008 and 2009. She is also a graduate of Dance Master's of America Teachers Training School in Buffalo, NY.

Nikki served as the Dance Director of the Lafayette High School Performing Arts Academy from 2012 to 2017. While at LHS, Nikki successfully implemented a composition course in which her students developed and presented new and original choreography during a professional showcase.
