Dress Code


Black leotard, black leggings, and dance shorts with stockings are acceptable in all classes except ballet & pointe wear pink stockings. Hip Hop black, white or gray joggers and leggings are acceptable.

  • Ballet - Pink ballet shoes.
  • Tap - Black tap shoes.
  • Jazz - Black or tan jazz shoes.
  • Modern - No shoes.
  • Lyrical - Lyrical Half shoe
  • Technique - Jazz shoes or Lyrical Half shoe.
  • Hip-Hop - Sneakers.

General

  • Hair should be neatly pulled up.
  • The first lesson of each month is designated as free dress. Students are allowed to wear the leotard and stockings of their choice.
  • It is very important that students follow the dress code. Dress codes makes it possible for the instructors to see the dancers form in order to make corrections and to assure that a student is using her body properly. Wearing the same color allows a teacher to observe body lines from dancer to dancer. Hip-Hop classes are more lenient because of the style of dance.
  • Put students name on all dance shoes & bags.
