Class Assistant
Offered to Intermediate and Advanced Level students who are interested in assisting in lower level classes. Assisting is a learning and rewarding experience. Assistants are considered team members of DeLarue Dance Centre and become an integral part of our school. You must be in the 5th grade or above. Due to limitations, not all applicants will be selected.
Extra Opportunities
- Class Mom: Each class usually has two class moms who are in charge of organizing class parties, informing students, etc. A class mom has the opportunity to participate in your child's dance education.
- Teacher/Graduate Course: This course is offered to high school students. Subjects offered are Tap, Ballet and Jazz. One subject is offered each year, requiring three years to complete. Both oral and written exams must be completed with a passing grade to complete the course. Students with the intention of graduating from DDC should enroll in this course during their Freshman year. Jazz will be taught this year - on August 27th, 28th & 29th - from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Tests will be on August 30th. **To graduate onstage with DDC you must have completed the 3 Teacher Courses and assisted for one year.
